Much like its predecessor, Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the game's hub will not be a single area, such as the Mos Eisley Cantina in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, but a wide range of fully explorable planets filled with many iconic Star Wars landmarks. The game features 300 playable characters. Combat has been revamped from previous titles, such as lightsaber wielders now using a variety of combos with light attacks, heavy attacks, and Force moves, and blaster characters having an over-the-shoulder camera (angle featured in many third-person shooter games). Each episode will have five story missions, making a total of 45 levels, contrasting from six levels per episode in previous games. My build, which includes some modifications, is pictured below.Unlike most Lego video games in which players had to advance through the story in a linear order, players can choose to start the game from any of the nine Skywalker saga episodes and complete them in any order they wish.

Another disappointing detail: one of the LEGO heads is actually just a Jango Fett clone head.Ī solid buy, but a little more thought and detail would have made this much more enjoyable to people familiar with the game and book those are the people I assume are the targeted customers.

The other characters, one of whom is supposed to be female, remove their helmets frequently during the game, making hair and different facial expressions an even more sensible option. I made one out of spare parts from this and other builds it's not great but it is pictured below. The leader, Iden Versio, is supposed to have a droid and many even consider the droid to be part of the squad. With some modification you can have each character standing on the vehicle (pictured below).Īs for the nerd rage: the video game and book go into detail about each character, so it's disappointing the set doesn't specify which character is represented by each figure. It would also be better if each character could fit on the vehicle, especially since it is, as far as I can tell, a vehicle LEGO invented for this set. It is a good value and you can even get several of this set, change which character isn't wearing a helmet, and you can have a small army!Įach character should have a helmet, hair, and different facial expressions.

I like that most of the weapons are different.
